The Superintendencia General de Valores (SUGEVAL) regulates, supervises and oversights Costa Rican securities markets, the activities of private individuals or corporate entities that are directly or indirectly involved in them and the actions or contracts related to them, as specified by Law 7732 and its amendments.

The SUGEVAL shall concern itself with the transparency of the securities markets, the correct formulation of prices, protection of investors and the brodcast of the neccesary information to assure these ends.

One of the main functions of the SUGEVAL is the disclosure of all relevant information concerning the securities market and its participants. You will find this information in the National Registry of Securities and Intermediaries.
